Pray like a Pro 01/13/2012
So, my local team, the New England Patriots are playing some other team this weekend. I know who they are- but really, the team is not important because it is all about Tim Tebow. No, it isn’t really about Tim...it is about his praying. Come on...really? Does God really care about a football game? Maybe the better question for me to ask is ... is there anything about which God doesn’t care? (that grammar is for you, Grammar Police!) I have a hard time imaging that if all the fans at Gillette stadium this Saturday night did the “Tebow” that God would suddenly appear in the form of a dove guiding a Brady pass into the end zone. It irks me that praying is being mocked and yet, every time I see Tim Tebow take a knee and place a fist on his head I cringe. I am all about prayer - I love to give thanks when something goes well for me but I think I pray hardest when things are going to hell in a handbasket. So, to that end... I would love to see Tim kneel and pray when he gets sacked. In fact, this Saturday, I’d like to see that a lot.... 3 Comments | Jen Munroe-NathansRev.
